Effective date: October 5, 2026

StairNerds.com is an informational site with stair calculators, planners, guides, and a gallery. This policy covers that site only.

What we collect

If you use the calculators, checklist, or takeoff tool and do not send a quote, we do not ask for your name. Those pages may still set cookies, described below.

If you send a quote request, we collect what you submit: name, email, phone if you provide it, project details, measurements, and the parts list from the planner or takeoff.

Server logs may include your IP address, browser type, and the page you requested. We use that to run the site and to block abuse.

Quote requests

A quote request is sent to cheapstairparts.com. That company receives the information you submitted and handles the quote. Their own privacy policy applies once they have it.

We do not sell your information.

Cookies and ads

The site may use cookies for basic operation, for traffic measurement, and for advertising. If advertising is on, Google and other ad partners may use cookies to show and measure ads, including ads based on pages you have visited. You can opt out of personalized Google ads at https://adssettings.google.com.

How long we keep it

Quote requests are kept long enough to send and follow the quote, then deleted or held only as cheapstairparts.com requires for that quote. Log data is kept for a short operations window.

Your choices

You can use the calculators and guides without sending a quote. You may email us to ask what quote information we still have, or to ask us to delete it. We will forward a deletion request to cheapstairparts.com for the copy they received.

Children

This site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change. The current version is the one on this page.
